OLIVIA RECKERT: LIFE IN COLOR

Olivia Reckert is a Chattanooga resident who moved here in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. She moved here from New York City after living and working there for 9 years. She graduated Fashion Institute of Design in 2019. Olivia has created murals for Whiskey Cowgirl, Spice Trail, Lil Mama's, Reagan's Retro, River City Apparel, and numerous holiday windows throughout the city. 

I love creating art that people will love and enjoy. My mission in life is to transform spaces through use of color and line movement. I want to create unique environments for people to enjoy and get lost in. I believe artwork transforms a space and has an impact on how you preserve the world. I always grew up with bold and beautiful large painting on the walls and feel like it had an impact on the person I am today, and I want to have my work inspire others to live a rich and beautiful life. 

This show consists of a variety of work from the years Olivia Reckert has lived in Chattanooga as well as some work done during her time in New York City. While the style and subjects may change over the years, the bold color choses and line movement have stayed consistent in the artist's work. The show features a range of traditional and unique mediums. A lot of the work is created on recycled and sustainable surfaces.
