When your faith has colored every piece of your existence, questioning any part of it can be terrifying. Everything feels at risk when you start to ask questions. I want my paintings to be a place to explore and contemplate, while also feeling a deep sense of safety and hope.
This work will examine the contrast between the structure, tradition, and certainty of the Church with the softness, mystery, transparency of a personal faith.
