Hack and Stamp: OPENING RECEPTION

A collection of collage, painting, and free-standing walls. A study in pattern, ornamentation, and layers of meaning.

Meredith Olinger works primarily with wallpaper of her own design. Her work deals with the dependence of art and design on each other, handmade versus digital production, and blurs the line between painting and installation. The majority of the work in this show was created over the last two years, a time of immense personal change and growth for the artist. In this time, she moved to Chattanooga, became pregnant and gave birth to her first child. Hack and Stamp is Olinger's first exhibition in Chattanooga.
